Right now, we’re looking for a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to join our highly professional team - collaborating in the center of innovation, transformation, and change.

Your mission
Joining us in this position, one of your main responsibilities include securing the architectural foundation for the future by transforming our technology capabilities – enabling more secure, cost-efficient and agile business. For example transitioning to global, more common solutions and decision making practices, focusing on cloud transformation of existing solutions where it makes sense, and developing the next generation of Production IT Architecture.

As Cloud and Infrastructure Architect, you’re responsible for developing strategies, roadmaps, standards and frameworks for infrastructure and cloud, which also includes developing principles around cloud versus on premise or virtualization, scale/flexibility models and doing cost estimations. Together with the rest of the team, you create technical designs for our platforms, products and services that are well defined, communicated, governed and implemented.

By designing, optimizing, and following up on the progress of our architectural development in line with business needs and purpose top-of-mind, you help us execute our mission with the proper speed of change or improvements. You also contribute to ensuring that the overall infrastructure and cloud architecture for Seco Tools is sound, and you secure collaboration across organizations, functions and departments.

The location for this position is flexible, although any of the following locations are preferable: Fagersta or Stockholm (SE), Alcester (UK), Erkrath (DE) or Guanzate (IT).

Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or the equivalent experience gained from a working career. You’re both skilled and willing to coach colleagues and share competence with other members of the IT infrastructure domain, with a cross-functional and global scope. Your previous work also includes designing and building global enterprise IT Infrastructure architecture and you have a strong hold on designing, integrating, and managing complex, networked infrastructure solutions. Additionally, you’re familiar with the security fundamentals and systems, and have a background working with cloud platforms, solutions, and management – preferably also on an operational level. Other technology skills that are needed to succeed are Identity and Access Management Solutions (IAM) such as Active Directory. As we operate in a global setting, you need to be fluent in English.
