Semcon now increases delivery capacity in the area of Embedded Software Development, Cloud based Services and Internet of Things. We’re forming a new department in Stockholm with multiple competencies, adding to the existing network of capabilities, nationally and internationally.

Semcon’s strength lies in Product Development based on Human Behaviour. We already have great skills in UX and interaction design at the same time as we are traditionally strong in embedded software / embedded systems. Embedded Systems is a core business area within Semcon Sweden AB. We’re also part of Semcon’s international network with more than 200 consultants and developers, making us one of the leaders within the area. We work with customers in various industries such as automotive, defence, telecom, medical technology and other product developing industries.

We’re hiring multiple roles to the new department, consolidating our position on the Stockholm market.



Your role – Cloud Application Developer
As a developer in our new team, you will work with many aspects of Internet of Things and we believe your main focus and experience is in either of these two areas:

Frontend solutions, Web applications Backend solutions; Cloud based services and Connectivity solutions
We strive to digitize customer's traditional products and make them user-friendly and available "in the cloud".

The job can be as a consultant on site at our customer’s, or sometimes in-house at our office at Lilla Essingen in central Stockholm or in projects together with our other Semcon offices.





Your background
Since we’re hiring several people for the role, we’re open to both experienced people with several years in the industry and with a proven track record, as well as those more recently graduated from adequate education recently starting a career in the area. As long as you are passionate about developing software for complex solutions and their connectivity.

We would prefer that you have a degree from adequate higher education as well as some experience from working in relevant industries and jobs.

As a person, you need to be responsible, resourceful and have an ability to act proactively. Also able to work in a structured way, with a positive attitude and open mind. You are triggered by problems to solve and use your creativity to find their solutions.
