We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Cloud Data Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Consultants' roles and responsibilities include:
Contribute to the migration of a data warehouse and surrounding BI dashboards and reports from a traditional on-premise server to AWS' cloud platform
Hands-on development in an agile development team performing data migration of a Kimball-based data model, its sourcing processes, and historical data
Implementation of robust, performant, and scalable solutions for handling large amounts of data
Contributing via an agile development team, ensuring proactivity and effective communication with stakeholders and other developers
The migration project is well underway, and it includes:
SQL Server ETL solutions (stored procedures, SSIS, and the occasional command, R, or Python script)
SQL Server data warehouse, which contains multiple databases and data models, including historical data
QlikView apps, dashboards, and server-side views will be migrated into a three-tier PowerBI solution.
SAP Business Objects universes and a large set of reports used by multiple business stakeholders that should be migrated to source cloud data from Redshift.
Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:
Competency prerequisites for the applicant:
A degree in the relevant field
Many years of working experience as a developer or data engineer
Expertise in data warehousing (normalised data models, slowly changing dimensions, ETL processes, etc) in a SQL Server environment
Advanced SQL skills
Expertise in data model design, stored procedures, and ETL process development (Airflow + Python is a plus)
Experience working in AWS with Redshift and Airflow
Experience with complex data project deployments, CI/CD pipeline, and document management
Experience working in governed production environments with version control tools, preferably Git, ensuring documentation throughout the product lifecycle, and other best practises Experience with business intelligence tools, preferably PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, and QlikView
We believe that you are proactive, self-starting, and take ownership in order to succeed in this role.
You are structured, analytical, and thorough in your work to handle a migration of a large and complex solution nearing the end of its lifecycle.
Other:
It would be fantastic if the consultant
Extensive knowledge of cloud service providers and relevant microservices
AWS and Redshift expertise, as well as AWS certification
Experience with programming languages R and Python, as well as.net
Experience with trading data, such as trades, orders, and quotes;
A solid understanding of statistical analysis and advanced analytics; and
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, such as SCRUM.
