What you'll do
* Put yourself in the shoes of a cloud native developer and assess the flow of onboarding, deploying and releasing a cloud application.
* You will ensure Product Owners and platform developers understand any bottlenecks and gaps in the cloud container flow and you will yourself also be hands-on in architecting and implementing solutions.
* You will work closely with the DX engineer on the higher level of platform (who looks over DX not only for Cloud Container developers, but all SW developer users) to form the platform strategy and architecture required to deliver best long term end-to-end eco-system.
* You will be part of the Volvo Cars Cloud Container Platform teams who deliver the Kubernetes platform on AWS and Azure.
* You will also support work to architect, design, develop, deploy and operate services within the Cloud Container Platform.
* Together with other Staff Engineers in the organization be a mentor and role model engineers in the Cloud Container Platform teams. Helping to foster a tech savvy, sharing and sustainable culture.
* Demonstrate and champion an appetite for knowledge and never stop developing as an Engineer and leader
* You will be working with modern principles such as GitOps and new technologies such as Crossplane

In the Volvo Cars cloud container platform we deliver a modern Kubernetes platform and the related stack based on open technologies to our users, the cloud services/applications developer teams. Together with other platform services, provided outside our teams, we enable an end-to-end platform with the aim to reduce the cognitive load for application developers to a minimum, so they can focus on the applications they are building and operating.
We’re looking for a Staff Engineer to join us in the cloud container platform, who will focus on making the end-to-end DX (Developer Experience) of cloud developers at Volvo Cars first-class
This position is located in our offices in Gothenburg with the option to be based in Stockholm or Lund offices.
