Cloud Developer for Scania’s Autonomous Cloud

Cloud Developer for Scania’s Autonomous Cloud

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania and the transport industry are experiencing a big shift towards Intelligent, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles. Not only will there be no drivers in the vehicles, they will be coordinated by intelligent planning and scheduling algorithms making the efficiency and utilization rate of the transports go up. This means taking a wider perspective than the single vehicle and focusing on the complete transports system.

In this transformation we need to grow and strengthen our team. The position is within the section of Intelligent Transport Systems that is responsible for the cloud services coordinating to the Autonomous Vehicles fleet.

Our offer
We offer a healthy and inspiring work place, with deep respect for the individual, where you have great opportunities to shape your work and your future. Your personal and professional development is important and something we encourage and support.

Position within a small team
The team of currently four people is responsible for delivering maps to the Cloud Environment used for Scania’s autonomous vehicle and services. These maps allow different parts of the autonomous cloud to optimize vehicle coordination and provide intelligence to the vehicle based on its localization in sites such as in Australia, within cities and open road. Despite the currently clear focus on maps, the team is expected and ready to adapt to changes in what they work with. Our services are deployed in Amazon Web Services and developed through a strong team effort and in collaboration with other teams and partners.

Your profile
We are looking for people who combine software-development skills with an interest in requirements and the way your product is used by a customer. You are a team player and understand the principles behind exceptional team work. You are self-motivated and driven, and can take on a complex product development challenge in a systematic and structured way. You dare to try in order to learn.

You should have competence in, or a strong will to learn:

• C# .NET, backend or fullstack developer
• Cloud development in Amazon Web Services
• Agile development methodologies, like CI/CD, TDD, SCRUM and other standard modern development methods
• Strong thinking in software modularisation and code quality
• The requirements in running an autonomous site

You have a BSc/MSc in a relevant field, or similar experience. We strive for a mix of experiences, competencies and personalities, so please don’t hesitate to apply if you think you have skills and ambitions that could help us be successful.
