We at NIRA believe in making roads safer by developing sophisticated software solutions for passenger cars. The Road Surface Information cloud platform is a family of products with a common aim of improving the safety and the comfort of our roads. The main input is data from millions of cars carrying NIRAs sensor fusion algorithm and based on the output and our cloud algorithms we are providing a complete view of the state of the road surface and vehicle surroundings in our cloud applications.

We are now looking for our next team member to join us!

Your team

You will be part of one of our four agile teams where you will work closely together with your team members by developing and delivering cloud solutions with an agile approach in Linköping.
The four teams within Road Surface Information consist of 24 team members, all with a high social level and great willingness to cooperate to achieve the team's goals and solve any problems together. A great mix of state-of-the-art technology in continuous development and customer relation, a mix that we find greatly inspiring and fun!

What you will do

Your daily work will consist of a broad set of tasks with varying characteristics over time. You will do everything from analyzing and developing new services based on data from connected vehicles, maintenance of current services and applications to long-term strategies for evolving the platform for future needs. Technologies that you will be using includes, but are not limited to: AWS, Java, Scala, Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink, Python, Machine Learning and some JavaScript/React.

We work with customers and partners both nationally and on international level. The role might include customer interaction on a technical level.

Who are you

As a person you have the ability to solve short-term and current problems meanwhile continuously working towards long-term strategies and goals. You prefer to work according to a clear process and it is important for you to finish what you have started, on time. Of course, you are also a real team player who likes to solve problems together with your teammates. You listen, ask for help, support others, give feedback and interact with the team's best in mind.

Your experience shall include object oriented and functional programming in preferably Java or Scala.

Other required qualifications:

• BSc degree or higher in computer science, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with software development either via working experience or own projects, summer occupation or equivalent.
• Fluency in English
• At least basic knowledge in Swedish and willingness to learn more

Above this, it’s an advantage if you have experience or knowledge in some of following areas:

• 2+ years of working experience within cloud application development.
• Data processing and data analytics experience
• Experience in Python
• JavaScript, preferably using React.
• Machine learning / Deep learning
• IoT
