Cloud Enterprise Architect

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Enterprise Architect for one of our clients in the Pharma Industry.

Background for the project :

Our client has seen incredible growth in the recent years from the success of our product launches and they expect this to continue. This growth will see us increase the number of patients supported and number of products we offer. To support this, we will likely see an increase in our geographical footprint, our M&A activity as well as the need to grow fast organically. While the exact shape of our clients growth will become more specific over time, our client is currently assumed to increase its throughput by ~100% and staff functions by 50% by 2025. To support this growth, our client is significantly expanding manufacturing capacity and staffing across areas, while also digitalizing more and more processes.

The way they provide IT services to the business has served us well so far, but they are now at a point where investments are needed to ensure that IT will not limit the speed at which our client is able to grow. We see pain points of this already in some areas (e.g., employees waiting up to 14 days to get access to a system, up to 4 weeks to fully onboard externals, and many manual processes IT where the only scaling option today is to add more people). A recent assessment of potential bottlenecks found the need to launch a programme with targeted investments aimed at transforming our ability to scale and eliminate the prioritized bottlenecks to rapid growth

and expansion plans. Therefore, they have launched the Scalability Programme.

High-level activities:

- Support themes and related MVPs with implementing technical remediations (e.g. Data classification, segregation of identities, access control, cloud guardrails, network segregation, and Zero Trust network architecture) and assist with solution design, reference architecture, tracking and risk overview related to high-risk countries.

- Evaluation of cloud environment and workloads.

- Implement previously identified findings related to network architecture, standard building blocks, domain controllers and zero trust model.

- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of relevant use-cases and have them integrated into OKR’s of the scalability programme.

- Collaborate with DPO office and Global Legal & Patents to establish effective oversight and risk management strategies.

- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with high-risk service providers.

- Maintain senior management oversight and communication channels.

Hard skills (technical expertise)

- Proficient in network architecture design and implementation, capable of assessing and modifying global network infrastructure to support targeted use cases for confidentiality and security purposes.

- Documented experience with cloud security in Azure and AWS platforms

- Strong understanding of database management and design

- Ability to architect scalable and high-performance solutions

- Competence in system integration and API design

- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF)

- Expertise in solution documentation and architecture diagrams

- Proficient in deploying network adjustments, ensuring successful implementation, and possessing a global perspective for an international company.

- Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and zero trust model principles and experience in implementing zero trust frameworks within complex environments.
