Cloud Monitoring Engineer for Connected Vehicles

Cloud Monitoring Engineer for Connected Vehicles

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to be part of a team focusing on high availability for the Connected Systems, and building a future technical operations team enabling digital services at Scania?

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Connectivity at Scania is one of the key components in Scania's “driving the shift” strategy. At Connected Systems, we develop and operate Scania's IoT solutions. It spans from in-vehicle, via Telecom to the Scania back-end platform.

We welcome both newly graduates and you with a few years of experience for this role. Maybe you have more experience but are curious about this industry or line of business within IT/tech.

What we offer

We offer you the possibility to be a part of a team that develops and maintains the cloud monitoring platform for our DevOps and technical operations team. But the main responsibility is to be in the support of monitoring events both from a secure or functional alert. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and advance the entire monitoring process and technical operation for connected vehicles to a new level! Besides amazing colleagues and an exciting career, we offer personal development. Other benefits are a company car, performance bonuses, a pension plan, lunch at reduced prices, a direct bus from central Stockholm to Södertälje with Scania Job Express and much more. We also like to highlight that having fun at work is an important element in our daily work.

What will you do?

As an operator of our cloud platform, you will have a central role in technical questions regarding the systems and their components, such as availability and performance. You will be part of our initiative to accelerate our journey to a standardized monitoring process flow. This includes, but is not limited to, updating incident information, lessons learned, and working with prioritization and escalation of tasks from an operator perspective. Note that your working hours can be outside of regular office hours. Since you are part of the cloud enablement team you will also work to develop and maintain the platform. It’s important that you have hands-on experience and knowledge about development in the cloud.

Who you are

For this role, you need to be a customer-oriented, analytical, and stress-tolerant person. You excel in both written and spoken communication, and you are proficient in English. It is important in this role to have a holistic understanding of the value chain and how our end customers are affected. We prefer approximately two years of IT experience in a similar area, and you most likely have a formal degree in engineering physics or computer science (or equivalent experience). In addition, you are expected to have experience in some software development and good knowledge of the areas of Cloud (AWS or Azure), Computing/IoT/Connectivity/Cyber Security.
