About this opportunity
At Ericsson Packet Core you are a part of the next step in the development of our products. We enable millions of simultaneous connected mobile users while handling traffic from IoT to 4K video in Gbit speeds. All of this in a virtual deployment using containers.


We stand at the forefront of Agile software development, using methods and principles like Lean and Scrum. Rapid customer and partner feedback is a key element in our development process which is based on Continuous Integration SW practices. We rely on team collective responsibility to finish the tasks according to a prioritized backlog. Our teams are diverse, self-organizing and highly independent. We work directly with our Product Owner and partners in a collaborative manner. This requires a ‘team first’ approach, which we believe is the best way to build phenomenal software!


The teams consist of 5-7 developers each, where we provide a fun and exciting environment. Our office is located in the scenic and vibrant Lindholmen area in the central parts of Gothenburg just on the shore of the Göta Älv river. We enjoy collaborating at the office while supporting working from home part-time.


We are now looking for a senior software developer to join one of our senior development teams, to take on the department role as Design and Deployment Architect.


Key development area for Design Architect here is in area of SMF (Session Management Function) @ 5G Cloud Native - Packet Core. Development area is also focusing on supporting software upgrades without data interruptions for customers and services.




What you will do
Program in C++, and educate others in this programming language
Design, implement and test the feature, product and system from requirements to production and commercial deployment
Use CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Development) flow and philosophy, with pipelines crafted for as-a-Service and to enable DevOps
Work with data communication and networking (Cloud networking, Container networking, Private/Public Clouds, TCP/IP, HTTP)
Work in a microservice-based architecture with microservices, Kubernetes, Docker and Helm
Take ownership and be a key contributor to Ericsson Cloud Native Deployment strategy and design





You will bring
MSc/BSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
Full proficiency in English, written and spoken
A proven talent for software development and computer systems
Detailed experience of development in Cloud Packet Core products, preferably Ericsson Packet Core Controller
