Approximately 40% of the world’s mobile traffic is carried through an Ericsson network. The next generation (5G) of Radio Access Networks (RAN) and Mobile Core Networks are happening now, and Ericsson is recognized technology leader in bringing it to market. The foundation for these use cases is built through an agile cloud environment that covers a wide range of edge and central network locations. Software Defined Infrastructure is the hardware management layer that is key for enabling an agile cloud, and our team is responsible for the system and software architecture that makes this happen. The cloud native management software component we develop is at the heart of it all and a key area where we interact with stakeholders across the company.

You will
Work on state-of-the-art systems and software including frameworks, technologies, and platforms
Be part of a multi-functional agile team with end-to-end responsibility for feature development and delivery
Perform continuous analysis and requirements handling
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
Collaborate with other software developers, system testers, system engineers, and decision-makers, such as product owners and architects, to build novel solutions
Work includes performing conceptual system studies to support business decisions, building proofs of product as well as implementing some of the functionality together with the developers using a state-of-the art development and continuous integration environment.


To be successful in the role you must have
You love working in a small team and interact well with other people in a positive, low-ego and collaborative environment
You are comfortable bringing clarity and focus to widely specified assignments by interacting with the stakeholders and adapting fast to changing requirements
You enjoy exploring technical problem solving in creative ways and understand responsible experimentation
You are truly passionate about creating clean code and have a solid computer science foundation
You enjoy learning new technologies, move between different software stacks and helping others along the same journey

You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent discipline, or the equivalent level of knowledge. We assume that you can speak and write in fluent English.
You need to have demonstratable hands-on experience in some of the following technologies:
Programming languages: Java (including Sprig Cloud, Quarkus and Micronaut), Python, Golang
Database technologies through Java (Persistence API, Hibernate) and cloud-native relational databases (Vitesse)
On-premises cloud platforms: containers, Kubernetes, CNCF projects
CI/CD knowledge, as this is an integral part of cloud-native development
Preferred experience from DevOps team for a large-scale cloud native application
Superb communication skills
A Positive can-do attitude
Creative problem-solving skills
Highly developed collaboration skills
