Cloud Security Engineer

As a Cloud Security Engineer at Scania you will be responsible for the security architecture in AWS and help automate the implementation. Your mission is to enable a high pace of innovation while still remaining secure. You are involved in hands-on security assessment, develop and provide guidance and teach security engineering best practices. You proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about Scania’s business, information security, the threat landscape and relevant technologies. You communicate professionally with your team and the teams you support, with a positive and pragmatic attitude.


Basic Qualifications

Working understanding of enterprise risk management methods and techniques to drive successful outcomes in a multi-national environment
Experience in IT security and how compliance and risk management affects infrastructure
Implementation experience with network security solutions such as WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS
Experience in host based security technologies.
Experience in log management solutions and SIEM
Significant technical expertise in scripting languages (JSON, Python, JavaScript, etc.), integrating 3rd party monitoring tools, encryption tools and best practices
Experience or knowledge of cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges

 
Preferred Qualifications


Proven experience building security reference architecture for all-in cloud deployments and hybrid scenarios
Familiarity with archive, backup/recovery and business continuity processes in distributed operations
Hands-on technical expertise in Security Architecture, automation, integration, and deployment (DevOps)
Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations

Strong, creative problem solving and analytical in nature
Self-motivated, energetic and tenacious and working well under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills with great attention to detail and accuracy
A strong desire to learn new technologies and deliver excellent customer outcomes through technical expertise
