American Express cluster growing markets is a fast-growing international business of American Express Worldwide.


Through strategic thought leadership rapidly translated into tactical implementation activities, the team is working hard to transform American Express´ presence in the cluster into a fast growing, highly profitable and digitized markets. This involves the restructuring and transformation of existing activities and operations as well as the implementation of new strategies and partnerships that will be instrumental to drive growth in turnover, profitability within the cluster.
We are growing – Are you our new Strategy manager?
As the Strategy Manager – You will be part of a creative and dynamic team where teamwork is truly central.
We have an ambitious 2023 plan for the cluster, the main responsibility is to be a part of driving the long-term growth with a focus on profitability. The role demands close co-operation with the stakeholders both with the local markets and with finance.
A successful candidate will possess exceptional prioritization, communication, and analytical skills as well a proven track record of operating independently.


What you will do:
You will report to Cluster Strategic Manager and partner close with the Head of Cluster for growing markets, and play a crucial role to most of the elements associated with the delivery of the Cluster Strategy.

· Provide oversight over the strategic agenda and collaborate with the business to develop roadmaps with a clear linkage between all initiatives and overarching objectives to deliver the strategy.
· Establish and track performance measurement across the Cluster
· Provide ad-hoc financial analysis with actionable insights to support our markets (work closely with our LFO)
· Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve our performance, boost growth, drive understanding and provide strategic guidance within the cluster
· Balance priorities, and find creative solutions that achieve results


What we’re after:
· M.Sc. in Finance or Economics
· Strong business- and financial acumen, background from working in the finance organization and as a business planner with strategy and planning
· Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance with a focus on ROI and excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data to convey a clear message to our stakeholders
· Self-driven, with perseverance, a continuous learning mind-set and change orientation.
· Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
· Basic coding skills and experience from Cornerstone
· Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
· Experience from working with the Nordic markets
· Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills and most important a great and curious team player that contributes with drive
