A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
Working at IKEA Bäckebol means to inspire and sell home furnishings to the many people on a daily basis and professionally turn curious visitors into satisfied customers. Together with colleagues and managers, we drive each department forward to achieve set goals. You are expected to contribute to, and participate in, your department's development as well as to nurture and keep the department in top condition. We fill up, sell, charge and have world-class customer service, both out in the department store, behind the scenes and digitally.
The tasks can include everything from receiving goods deliveries and stocking goods on the shelves to helping customers with their specific needs and giving a good last impression when the customer pays their goods at the checkout. What unites us all is that the customers are our focus and the most important people in our company.
At our various functions Customer Experience, Sales and Logistics, we work with different tasks:
At our customer relationship department, Customer Experience, you work with handling customer matters at the service desk, the checkouts and in the playroom Småland where the children can play when the adults do their shopping. All to provide the best experience for our customers no matter where they are in the buying process.
In our sales departments, you help customers find the products they are looking for based on their specific needs, replenish goods and keep order. In some departments, you will also help the customer to draw and plan various home furnishing solutions such as kitchens, bathrooms and wardrobes.
In our logistics department, you mainly work before and after the department store's opening hours to receive goods delivered to the department store, replenish goods in the department store and ensure that the goods are in place for our customers. During the day, you also pick and pack customer orders.
Working hours vary depending on the function and include weekdays as well as weekends, day and evening hours.
In order to be eligible for Logistics where you often start at 05.00 in the morning, weekday and weekend, but also work until 22.00 at other times, you need to be able to get to and from IKEA Bäckebol between 05.00-22.00 without being dependent on public transport. For example, it is not always possible to get to the department store until 05:00 by public transport.
