Autonomous Transport Solutions at Scania is one of the key areas in Scania strategy “driving the shift”. At Autonomous systems we work with enabling solutions within the area of Onboard and offboard systems, managing both autonomous driving of the vehicle and controlling/supervision via our cloud based control tower.
The department Autonomous systems is working agile and is looking to reinforce our value stream, at Scania called VCT, with a Release Train Engineer (RTE).
We are now looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic leader to be our next RTE.

Assignment
As an RTE you will have a key role in leading and developing the work in the value flow/VCT. The three main roles driving the VCT are Product Manager, System Architect and the Release Train Engineer.
The Release Train Engineer is a servant leader and coach for the value flow. In this particular position the focus is to set up the work flow for developing driving autonomously on highway and local roads. This includes create pre-requisites, forums and ways of working to enable teams at Scania and partner to work even more efficient having the same goals in mind. The work span from a high strategical level of how to work cross brand to a detailed technical level.
The RTE is the face/first point of contact to and from the VCT. The daily tasks vary from coaching and inspiring teams, facilitate events and continuously improve our ways of working to being more hands on, being on the test track or on highway together with the engineers developing and coaching problem solving for our solution to be world class.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you, a goal oriented leader who dares to try, take initiatives and is inspired by challenging objectives. A skilled project manager or engineer with leader ambitions and drive to undertake an agile role.
You are
• enthusiastic, have a can-do mentality combined with a structured way of working and enjoy taking the lead!
• flexible and adapt actions and behaviour depending on changes in pre-requisites and environment
• a leader but also a team player capable of working and delivering results together with others as well as on your own
• inspired by and enjoy motivating the teams and communicating with engineers on a daily basis.
• strong in cross functional work and good at developing, maintaining and use a broad network on all levels within the company
You have previous experiences of leadership in conventional leading roles as project manager, manager etc and/or agile roles such as Release Train engineer, ScrumMaster and/or Product manager/owner. You have higher education with at least 5 years’ experience from a technical area preferably software development. You are familiar with Agile development.
Understanding and knowledge of autonomous systems for vehicles is highly meritorious.
Fluency in English is mandatory. Swedish is meritorious and we highly appreciate your ambition to improve.
