Color & Material Designer at Polestar

Let us describe the challenge we offer

As a Designer for Color & Material, you will support the Senior design manager to create the Color & Material Design for a specific program in the in creative phase, from conceptualizing and communicating design ideas up till developing for production. You will also support the VP Color & Material Design in strategic design, projects and design for sustainable solutions. This position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you´ll do

- Developing creative Color & Material Design ideas including new material processes and sustainable material solutions
- Collecting inspiration, materials and samples and creating tasteful mood boards
- Conducting design trend research and benchmark
- Communication of Color & Material Design within Design and the product creation
- Creating the best-looking color & material choices and collections for our customers
- Preparation of tasteful presentations


Who you are

To be successful in this role we believe that you have:

- Bachelor or master’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Transportation Interior Design, Product Design or Industrial Design
- Prior experience in Color & Material Design
- Good understanding how colors and materials are supporting a specific character of cars
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office Package, PowerPoint, Adobe Package (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, VRED)
- Strong presentation skills

You are a self- driven individual who can think strategically and has a fast understanding of complexity and ability to deal with different topics ant the same time. We would also like to see that you have excellent communication skills, as well as good verbal and written skills in English.
