To make this engine going we cover all development, from bottom to top, meaning platform solutions all the way to user applications. Your Role

As a Combat System Engineer (CSE), you will have an important role, with great responsibility, in one of our projects delivering total naval combat systems solutions to the end customer. We integrate a wide range of systems and sensors into solutions which together provide the required capability to our customers. Combat systems engineers are the ones responsible for integrating all the systems into a system of systems solution.

You will have the responsibility to manage the technical scope of your assigned systems and/or domain. The role is multi-disciplinary and dynamic and your task will vary during the progress of the project. You will take the systems through the process of defining the required capabilities, translating these into clear and verifiable requirements, selecting suppliers, integrating the systems into the platform and verifying that the system requirements are fulfilled. As a CSE, your days will be varied and filled with opportunities to demonstrate your problem solving abilities. You will work closely with the Technical Project Manager who has the overall responsibility for the Combat System technical solution to the project. You are the point of contact for your domain and you will have extensive contacts with both our customers and our suppliers. Within your domain and area of responsibility, you will be responsible for interfacing and coordinating sub-suppliers, stakeholders, specialty engineers and shipyard to ensure the performance of the project. You will participate during tender phase by analyzing customer requirements, evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts.

The main tasks are:

* Executing the assigned CSE tasks as a member of the project team
* Representative towards the customer within your domain
* Technical requirements analysis and requirements management
* Managing the verification of all the domain requirements
* Managing sub-suppliers
* Management and definition of Interface Specifications
* Ship/Platform integration
* Coordination of cross-functional specialists (System Safety, Integrated Logistic Support, Electro Magnetic Engineering etc.)
* Ensure necessary documentation and quality requirements associated with the tasks are fulfilled
* Work with technical representatives of sub-supplier organizations to ensure their best possible technical solution and support



Your Profile

You are a confident communicator in English, and share information in a clear and easy way, verbally and in writing. You have a collaborative mind-set and you are a true team player. You will be working in a given project and must thus enjoy teamwork within a competent and motivated team. You are self-driven and result-oriented with a "get the job done" attitude. Curiosity and the ability to learn new technical areas are necessary attributes for the role. The ability to take responsibility for the execution and successful completion of assigned tasks within time and budget is essential. We believe that you have a solid technical background with a wide technical knowledge base. The position will require travels within Sweden and internationally, depending on the program phase and requirements.

Required skills, experience in:

* formal degree in Engineering, or equivalent
* requirements analysis and requirements management
* working on a system of systems level
* working with system/solution design
* working in integrated project teams

Desired skills:

* the naval domain and or defense industry
* Naval Combat Systems
* INCOSE based Systems Engineering experience
* managing sub-suppliers
* customer based acceptance processes
* technical and solution trade-off analyses

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
