Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.In fact, Scania and the whole truck industry is facing its largest challenge ever – to reduce the environmental impact sharply and meet The Paris Agreement Climate Goal of net zero emissions by 2050! In Sweden, the transport sector alone is responsible for 7,5% of the total greenhouse gas emissions and Scania has committed to drive the shift to a sustainable transport system investing billions (SEK) in the next generation conventional and electrified drive trains, as well as in Autonomy and Transportation As A Service.
What is our part in all this? Our group Inner Maneuvering (UPBM) is a part of Scania’s ePropulsion and Transmission development. We design and test high-performing parts allowing for best-in-class gearshifting properties, enabling the engine to operate at its most efficient thereby minimizing fuel / energy consumption. Our product portfolio includes innovative solutions both for e-mobility and vehicles with combustion engines. As a test engineer you are part of our innovative team developing and verifying our products.
Your tasks
As a test engineer of the team, you will help create insights to future product solutions and solve challenges connected to current products. You will be part of a team of ambitious test engineers performing tests in vehicles and test rigs. The test methods are under constant development, especially for the emerging e-mobility products, and you will perform an important part of that development. Analysis of test result to determine next step in product development and verification plan is essential. Test automation and scripting will also be a part of your job.
Your profile
• You have 2-3 years of work experience as a test engineer
• You are expected to be hand-on in the test rigs
• You have basic skills in programing (Matlab, Python or similar)
• You have an academic engineering degree
• You master Swedish and English in speech and writing
