Come work with CI/CD, DevOps and Configuration Management at Scania

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Scania is now going through many changes in a short time. We are turning our product portfolio and working methods towards sustainable, flexible and future-oriented solutions and we are integrating our solutions into the Traton Group's global offering. At Service Information Systems, we work with the Service Market Systems that support workshops with all the information and services that mechanics and other service personnel need to succeed in their daily work. We are currently launching the biggest change in that system portfolio ever as we replace several systems and create new integrated cloud services with the user in focus.

Now we are looking for someone who want to be a key person in release management, both for the systems that are moving into a controlled phase out, and for the new processes that create our new services.

Together with your colleague in the CM-team, you are responsible for release planning, communication with stakeholders at all stages, implementation of releases and creating and monitoring services, pipelines, scripts and other components. You act on deviations and lubricate the machinery to serve all teams with effective releases at agreed times. It takes accuracy, perseverance and the ability to prioritize correctly to succeed.

Our release process will need major changes and you will be a key person as we modernize and build up the CI/CD landscape for new important services to the service market.

We think you are the more technical of the two of you on the team. You have previous experience from system development and release work without having to be an expert. It is highly meritorious if you have worked with techniques like Jenkins, Gitlab/Perforce and Script-based programming languages.

Great emphasis will be placed on your ability to be one of those who lead us towards a new way of working and modern technologies as the requirements for our release management change. You will collaborate with other units at Scania and our development teams to develop best practices for the release process and CI/CD. We want to hear examples of how you have succeeded in change management together with others. Much of our future is built in AWS so if you have experience from that area, it is highly meritorious.

You have sufficient training and at least a few years of experience working in the IT/System world. You must enjoy working with many contacts, you like to learn and can plan your activities so that both the short- and long-term plan can fit in with your day-to-day schedule.

Around your team there are several other teams of experienced system developers, engineers and other roles that drive future development. We work in an agile way with focus on detailed planning for ten weeks at a time with clear goals. We have the opportunity to partly work remotely and strive for a climate where decisions are made by those involved and based on many people's experience and knowledge.
