BNEW is responsible for Ericsson’s industry leading networks portfolio spanning Ericsson Radio System, Cloud RAN, Transport, and Services covering network deployment and support. Commercial Management within BNEW ensures monetization of the networks portfolio value by innovating commercial models and setting prices to Ericsson’s technology advantage. The function provides competitive value-based commercial offers that address customer needs and secure profitable business for Ericsson.
Hosted in BNEW’s Commercial Management organization, the Commercial Intelligence Manager will be the main owner and driver in BNEW of Commercial Competitive Intelligence, one of the most crucial elements in ensuring successful sales engagements and products. Commercial intelligence is a key input for commercial strategy and preparing for business deals, and a key output when a deal is concluded.
You will lead a global Commercial Intelligence community with representatives from all MAs to ensure that commercial intelligence on competition is regularly collected, updated, analyzed, and communicated so that Ericsson’s Market Areas, and Business Areas can use it. The person will also represent Commercial Management in other BI/CI teams within BNEW and engage with CI function in other BAs and GFs.
What you will do
Lead the global Commercial Intelligence community. Drive continuous and ground-breaking improvements on its processes and ways of working, ensuring team motivation and best practice sharing to achieve yearly targets of Won/Loss interviews (CI oriented) and maximum commitment from team members, both in providing insights and in sharing them across their respective MA
Consolidate, structure, and analyze all gathered information. Develop new insights and regularly communicate with relevant audiences both in Market Areas and in BNEW (PAN/SAN, Business Control, Commercial Management, Strategy)
Research external sources of Commercial Intelligence to complement information from the internal network
Collaborate with CI related digitalization initiatives/projects in the company. Explore and develop digitalized CI collection and analytics using Salesforce
Regular follow-up on Ericsson’s data privacy rules and compliance policies with GF Legal and BNEW Compliance Office to ensure commercial intelligence is gathered and used in an ethical manner
You will bring
Understanding of Ericsson’s networks portfolio, especially RAN hardware and software products
Commercial competence, knowledge of RAN HW, SW & Services business models
Experience or established network in CU/CM in one or several Ericsson MAs would be an advantage
Strong analytical skills, structured thinking and problem solving
Good communication skills, ability to establish trusted relationships with internal stakeholders
Proven successful track in cross-functional team work or program management
