Description

Commercial Manager Polymers & Films is responsible to contractually secure all the required Polymers & Films volumes required by Tetra Pak at the best possible commercial terms in accordance with the quality specifications set up by BaseMat Polymers, Technology. The position has the responsibility to manage the company's supplier relationships worldwide by developing both short and long-term strategic plans.


This position is based in Lund and reports to the Commercial Director, Polymers. The position requires approximately 40% of travelling worldwide.


Main responsibilities
.Manage supplier base for Additional Material & Packaging Material business
.Contribute to development of the Long-Term Polymers & Films Strategy and implement it for assigned suppliers
.Negotiate and implement competitive supply agreements with assigned
.Scout and develop new suppliers based on material group strategy
.Manage and direct Business Reviews with Strategic supplier through established metrics /KPIS
.Responsible for cost reduction opportunities
.Responsible for Crisis Management and coordination for volume re-allocation
.Contribute/Participate in the New Product Introduction process

Qualifications

As a person you have strong leadership and influencing skills, and a well rounded & deep business outlook & strategic thinking. You also have a strong expertise in negotiations and an ability to build sustainable relationships. Having superior business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally is required. In addition to this we require strong result orientation and pro-activeness, balancing both detail and strategic orientation.

To be a successful candidate you should have a University Degree in economics, commercial or technical disciplines. MBA or equivalent titles will be considered a plus. You need to have approx. 5 years in supplier relationships management related positions with significant operations experience in fast paced international organizations. Experience in the particular commodity market is an advantage. You have a proven track record of successful development and maintenance of supplier relationships internationally. You must be fluent both in written and spoken English.
