Play a key role in driving our international tenders
Do you thrive in dynamic, high-tech environment, where you are responsible for solving large scale, complex challenges? If you have some years´ of experience of selling or managing major commercial projects we might have the ideal opportunity for you. Working closely with our international customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced high-voltage cables, (HVC), for land and offshore applications worldwide.


Drive the commercial scope in our large global projects
We are in an expanding phase and are now searching for skilled individuals to join our team as a Commercial & Tender Manager. You will have the opportunity to work as part of our team in the Interconnectors, Offshore wind and Oil & Gas segments.
With your technical knowledge, and business-minded approach, you will have primary responsibility for the tendering of large, global, and highly complex projects, many of which are for major installations, with tenders that run over a number of years.
You will be expected to lead your project tender team to meet customer requirements and expectations. Therefore, you will have ample opportunity to apply your creativity in structuring and creating robust solutions, within restraints such as internal resources and customer budgets.
You will work closely with NKT’s front end sales organization, legal experts, engineers, production units, planners and installation experts, to ensure that the tenders move forward and meet deadlines. Other responsibilities will include presenting our solutions to customers, leading negotiations, further develop our extensive network of contacts, and work to achieve success in our tenders, many of which are for major stakeholders on the international market.
Your primary tasks will be:
Responsibility for all aspects in the tender from start of tendering to contract award and handover to the Operations department
Drive multidisciplinary tender team from pre-qualification to negotiations with customer into order with respect to timing as well as scope of work in the tender
Responsibility to deliver high quality tenders, prioritizing appropriately and meeting both customer and NKT demands and directives
Develop and maintain relationship with key stakeholders, internally and externally
Responsibility for sales strategy activities in alignment with management

Currently we manufacture and install the cable system for the world's largest wind farm, Doggerbank, which will supply 4.5 million households with energy and that is a good example of the type of projects that you as a commercial and tender manager would be responsible for selling. You will be employed at what will soon be the world's largest submarine cable factory, playing a key role in the creation of a better future by enabling the expansion of wind farms and optimizing energy supply between and within countries. We deliver complete solutions, cable systems and installation with our own vessel.


Commercially driven leader with technical understanding
To thrive in this role you are a driven and independent person, who provides excellent team leadership. You coach and motivate your project team, encouraging them to continually develop their skills, and you enjoy collaborating and sharing experiences with colleagues as well as with customers.
You are motivated by being in an international and fast-moving environment, where you have the opportunity of applying your analytical abilities, strong social skills, and integrity.
Proficient communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas to others with an emphasis on being solution orientated is key to succeed in this role. Its highly beneficial if you possess a wide-ranging understanding of technology and complex contracts.
In addition to the above you have several years’ experience of managing or selling major projects, preferably in the power, offshore or construction sectors. You are an effective negotiator, with experience of major engineering, procurement & construction, (EPC), projects including where you have successfully dealt with different contract types. .
Additionally, your CV comprises:
M.Sc. in Engineering, Commercial Management or similar
Fluency in spoken and written English
