Commissioning Engineer, HVDC

You will be part of HVDC unit, with location in Ludvika or Västerås, but the job provides you opportunity to visit customers and travel around the world!

Your responsibilities
Organize and execute activities related to testing and commissioning work including responsibility for organizing test equipment
Assist in technical discussions with the client and the client’s consultants
Be well informed about the Scope of Work and Division of Work
Ensure that all changes are identified and communicated to Commissioning Manager
Assure that commitments to the customer are met and in accordance with the contract
Tender work for commissioning scope
Participate and analyze of any disturbances that may occur on the system during the commissioning and operation

Your background
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Experience in Commissioning work in plants of different sizes, complexities, and technologies
Fluency in English is required, additional language skills are merit
Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to coach others in the commissioning area
Ability to work according to relevant legislations and standards but with a pragmatic and smooth way of working to deliver results in a global environment.
Capacity to handle many parallel activities
Knowledge with MACH system and IED protection relays is a merit
Previous experience in HVDC or FACTS stations is also preferable
