As a commissioning engineer at Zeppelin Power Systems, you will work with one of the world’s leading engine manufacturers – Caterpillar. You’ll be working with commissioning and troubleshooting on CAT stand-by gensets, mainly in the hyperscale data center sector and on both internally run projects and on behalf of our customers. You will be reporting to the Field Service Manager.
We’re looking for an experienced technician with an engineering background in mechanical, electrical and automation disciplines. Our customers are world leading companies in their respective fields of operation and have high level requirements on documentation, processes, and communication. You are a structured problem-solver, organized and have excellent communication and project management skills.
We’re a small team in a rapidly growing industry. Initiative, and a drive for improving business by “making things better” are highly valued skills for this position. In addition to performing field work, you will be responsible for improving the commissioning process with focus on quality and efficiency.
Our customers are global companies that have equipment all over the world. In this position you will be travelling around 150 days/year and stay on projects for weeks at a time on a rotation schedule. Due to this, it is not necessary to be positioned close to our head-office, but we do require that you live in Sweden.
Key responsibilities
* Develop, improve, and execute the commissioning process.
* Act safely and adhere to the Company’s QHSE routines and standards.
* Accurately completing timesheets and time-reporting in a timely fashion.
* Give technical support within the organization.
* Keeping dedicated test equipment calibrated and up-to date without causing job-interference.
* Communicating on project progress to manager.
Required qualifications
* 5 years experience of commissioning complex systems or servicing such systems.
* Technical knowledge of engines, generators, and automation systems.
* Fluent in English.
* Excellent report writing skills.
* Expert troubleshooter.
* Multitasking ability.
Preferred qualifications
* Engineering degree in mechanical/electrical/automation/marine or equivalent.
* Fluent in one Nordic language.
Location: Sweden (For this role it is not necessary to be positioned close to our head-office)
