Commissioning Manager

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Commissioning Manager to join our passionate team in Skellefteå.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Commissioning Manager will be in charge of the production equipment startup. As leader in commissioning you will have the opportunity to coordinate a competent and dependable team from multiple departments, capable of scaling Northvolt's operations in Sweden and beyond. You will be in charge of building and executing the long term commissioning plan reporting to the Director of Commissioning.
The unit will primarily support the Program and Production teams to start all production lines.
In general you have a long experience in the field and have been driving large, innovative and challenging commissioning projects with high demands on delivery schedule.
Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working with multiple teams as well as matrixed organizations.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop the high-level commissioning logic to deliver as per project schedule
Develop the systemisation of the assigned area within the Northvolt Ett project
Develop detailed commissioning planning for the assigned area
Liaison and management of main electrical and mechanical/piping contractors and the Northvolt installation team to ensure readiness for commissioning as per schedule
Interface between Construction team managing the execution of all building services systems and the Process Engineering team managing the dynamic commissioning of product lines
Drive the day-to-day execution, tracking, control and performance of Commissioning of the assigned area
Monitor and control of completion and commissioning at site, reporting KPIs and progress as required
Liaise with Northvolt network and automation teams, ensure control functionality is available to support commissioning activities
Assist in day-to-day management and administration of control of work (Permit to Work) on site

Skills & Requirements
Qualifications/education/experience :
A relevant university degree (B.Sc. / B.Eng. or similar) preferred
10+ years working experience within commissioning management/project management
Fluency in written and spoken English

Specific skills:
Implementation of commissioning processes
Thorough understanding of multi-discipline construction and installation scopes
Experience with completions management
Ability to work autonomously and understand/dictate on priorities
Self-supporting and self-motivating
