Volvo Buses is looking to hire a Commodity Buyer.
As part of the commodity purchasing group in Chassis Platform & Projects at Volvo Buses you would be working with a team of highly professional purchasers, each with his or hers special area of expertise. The commodity team in Gothenburg is responsible for parts for the future generations of public transport solutions produced at Volvo Buses chassis plants in Borås. Together we make sure that we as a department utilize the best supplier base for each commodity and help generate the best possible result for the team, the company and our society.
Your role
Working in this position you would be responsible for Volvo Buses purchasing of HVAC and Climate Systems.
As commodity buyer you would have the responsibility to work with a sourcing buyer and establish sourcing strategies for your commodities in cooperation with purchasing project managers, our supplier quality department, the teams in product development and our manufacturing plants. You would then have the full responsibility to manage the project, operation phase and the service market part of the supplier relationship.
This includes implementation of the best supplier relationship management processes, supplier development and supplier partnering while ensuring a strong key stakeholder process on a global level. Your work would be in line with the Volvo Way and Volvo Group corporate values.
