Commodity Buyer Connectivity & Driver Interface

We, Connectivity & Driver Interface team, are looking for a new Commodity Buyer to join our teams, located in Goteborg (Sweden) or in Lyon (France).
Connectivity and Driver Interaction is characterized by a dynamic environment, fast moving technologies, and new customers' demands. We strive to be in the front seat of this development, and this is where you come into the picture.


ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Commodity Buyer, you will work closely with your colleagues to secure the supplier base of the Volvo Group.


Some key responsibilities and activities will be to:
Manage Sourcing activities and drive the cross-functional supplier selection process
Negotiate and execute agreements with suppliers during the products’ full lifetime, find extra cost savings on top of existing agreements
Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR (*) targets during Project, Production and After Production phase
Monitor, identify and mitigate risks in cooperation with stakeholders
Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
Contribute to segment strategies, be an active member in the global buyers’ network.
Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, support your peers, coaching others when relevant, sharing good cases and ask for support when needed

You enjoy managing many parallel activities and you have a target-oriented approach,
You have a Master of Science or Business Administration, you are fluent in English, you have 2 years’ experience in a buyer position. Experience in Electronics area, technical background and automotive experience are considered as assets
