Purpose of the job:
Deploy of commodities strategy
Ensure project execution in line with QCDT objectives
Support global supplier Panel relationship (Supplier workload, negotiation, Specific agreement)
Key Accountabilities
Supplier relationship:
Together with Commodity Manager, contribute to development and implementation of corporate strategies, objectives and policies
Support global supplier panel relationship
Improve the knowledge of the regional Supply base. Develop new sources, second sourcing both domestically and in low-cost countries.
Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
Commodity support on site:
Consolidation of commodity needs, inputs
Active participation to commodity strategy and panel elaboration
Support to Tender Procurement Manager in tender phase
Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions.
Apply the Alstom Sourcing process and provide (REX) Return on Experience.
Involvement in projects:
Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers, using the standard tool
Evaluate supplier proposals, recommend best solution and sell solution to affected parties.
Lead Supplier negotiations
Monitor sourcing project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
Prepare Business Award
Contracts management Manage purchase contracts for projects and operations within scope
EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Business School or Engineering school or Master in Purchasing
Fluent English & International background; Swedish is preferred
Senior experience in the field, Rail industry or Construction are preferred
Strong people skills and ability to communicate
Negotiation skills with minimum basic understanding of contractual terms and conditions
Comprehensive knowledge of commodities in area of specialization
Good level in MS office
