A Snapshot of Your Day

Now you have the possibility to join us as a Commodity Manager for forgings of compressor and turbine discs for our gas turbine portfolio. An exciting and developing role with the opportunity to grow within procurement!

As a Commodity Manager your day will contain a variation of topics. For example, you will manage strategy development and implementation in the supplier base as well as within Siemens Energy. A part of your role is to negotiate contracts and price lists, but also resolving different various issues with a maintained good business relationship.

Here you will be working in an international environment with daily contacts with both international suppliers and colleagues from several functions and other locations within Siemens Energy.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact
* Develop a comprehensive commodity strategy in close collaboration with the global commodity team. You will actively contribute to global and local targets and collaborate with the Siemens Energy worldwide procurement network.
* Continuously develop and lead/drive the supplier base to set targets and strategies. This also includes being responsible for sourcing of new components.
* Analyze and understand the supplier base risk and develop risk mitigation strategies for your commodity.
* Be an active part of our product development programs in collaboration with e.g. engineering and supplier quality management, where the Commodity Manager implements the commodity strategy.
* With your updated knowledge of global market conditions, you negotiate and complete contracts with suppliers.
* Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and your key business stakeholders.

 

What You Bring 
* At least 5-10 years of working experience within procurement or other relevant functions within an international business environment.
* A master’s degree in Engineering or in Business Administration.
* Excellent communication skills in English, whereas skills in Swedish is preferable.
* With a collaborative approach and with an ambition to deliver result you drive your commodity to result.
* Ability to think strategically and to build trust with internal and external partners, within an intercultural environment.
* You are creative in problem solving and are business-results oriented.

We are a team of 10 persons located in Finspång and Trollhättan. Together we have a lot of experiences and with various backgrounds making us a strong team. We work locally and globally with a collaborative mind.
