COMMODITY MANAGER

COMMODITY MANAGER - EASTERN EUROPE SOURCING

This is a position in the central purchasing team located in Huskvarna, Sweden.This team is a strategic department responsible for agreements, contracts and for coordinated activities to reduce the total cost in the outdoor group globally.The department is also responsible for the purchasing process and procedures.For this position it's necessary to spend at least 1-2 weeks/months in Huskvarna, however, the permanent residence could be in another country.The responsibility is evaluation and development of potential/new suppliers in Eastern Europe.

Key operational responsibilities
" Understand the needs, requirements and sourcing strategies of the outdoor products factories
" Drive cost reduction projects primarily for mechanical commodities
" Develop the Group's sourcing strategies in Eastern Europe
" Research and identify (or select within the approved vendor base) suppliers who can potentially meet those needs and requirements and also fit the strategic plan
" Obtain competitive quotation package as quick response to factory requirements
" Ensure suppliers RFQ conditions & terms including any technical specification
" Present to the factories and commodity managers the potential suppliers identified together with commodity analysis and cost reduction opportunities.Be a part of the local decision process in purchasing councils.
" Present for the global OPC (Outdoor Purchasing Council) the strategy and the activities.
" Coordinate the quotation process to ensure the clarity of the RFQ and the quality and competitiveness of the quote (following the procedures in the Outdoor purchasing process)
" Support and if required lead the sourcing decision process by
- Further investigation (quality audit, business audit, financial audit)
- Total cost analysis (freight, duty, supply chain costs, etc
" At all time following the procedures detailed in Electrolux purchasing process, also work through the local Purchasing Councils.
" Pro-actively monitor currency fluctuation and raw material pricing tendency including business activities of vendors to avoid risk in advance
" During the implementation phase, facilitate the project to successful conclusion
" Support current business in case of quality, delivery or commercial problem

Competencies needed
" Major in Engineering or Industrial Economy (Bachelor Degree)
" Minimum five years Purchasing experience within manufacturing industry, preferably in Eastern Europe
" Familiar with Quality management system ISO 9000, QS 9000
" Familiar with production process of system integration and material background acknowledgement such as sheet metal, stamping parts, casting, plating, painting etc
" High degree of judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
Language
English, German and preferable other languages in the region.
