Schneider Electric Buildings AB .Work description The Commodity Manager is fully responsible for development and performance of components sourced by the Västerhaninge plant in Stockholm, Sweden.The purchasing has a strong focus on lean supply chain where optimization of productivity and procurement performance are key.The role gives an opportunity to cooperate within the Schneider global purchasing network in order to leverage volume scale opportunities as well as managing local supplier base. There are three buyers in the component procurement team supporting our daily supply to our production.As a commodity manager you report to the Vice President Purchasing, which also is based in Västerhaninge.The position requires national and international travel of approximately 25-50 days per year. Duties and responsibilities Develop and implement the sourcing strategy for components Identify needs for cost and/or quality improvements together with engineering and development team Define productivity levers and lead negotiations and projects contributing to continuously productivity improvements Managing productivity tools and reporting Develop and support purchasing department in daily tasks as call off, order, monitoring purchase orders and invoice control Conduct supplier assessment and tracking of supplier performance Who are you? You have an academic degree in Master of Business Administration and/or Master of Science, Engineering or equivalent.Minimum one to three years experience of purchasing and purchasing procurement.Building management system products or electronic/mechanical oriented business is preferable.You are able to work in an international environment and you are fluent in English both spoken and written. As a person you have a high level of energy and an ability to energize others, you have a strong drive, your are ambitious and highly resultoriented and last but not least you have good communication skills.
