Danaher Corporation (NYSE DHR) is a Fortune 500 company with manufacturing locations throughout the world.The Corporation has demonstrated continued global growth and profitability year over year.Danaher Motion Stockholm AB is part of the Kollmorgen businesses within Danaher with approximately 120 employees.Danaher Motion Stockholm AB is a leading global manufacturer of controls and drives for use in a broad range of industrial markets including lift trucks, robotics and hybrid vehicle solutions.Kollmorgen is a leading provider of motion systems and components for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) around the globe that improve the efficiency and productivity of complex manufacturing operations.For more information: www.kollmorgen.com Job description The Commodity Manager Electronics will manage the electronics Supply Base to meet Quality, Delivery and Cost Objectives.The essential duties and responsibilities include: *Help develop the Global Electronics strategy for the Vehicle Systems business.*Negotiate and implement supplier contracts consistent with Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.*Develop process for contract management of Electronics suppliers *Implement and drive daily management for cost reduction and Supplier on-time delivery.*Assist Supplier Quality with Supplier Audits and Qualification and work to maintain the approved Supply Base *Drive and support internet-based reverse auctions of material to reach cost savings objectives.*Maintain Electronics' cost savings projects in the Corporate database.*Interact with and support the DHR Corporate Global Commodity Team to align strategic initiatives with Kollmorgen initiatives.Requirements Education MS degree in Industrial Engineering, with a major in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations Management. Experience/practical skills At least 2-3 years experience working in purchasing or logistics Proven track record of delivering and exceeding desired results Experience in Project Management and Operational Purchasing Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment Negotiation Experience Experience working with Lean Tools Knowledge of international trade rules and legislations ERP systems knowledge Languages Advanced knowledge in Swedish and English, written and spoken, is a requirement.Personal characteristics You are a person who takes the initiative and achieve results.You take responsibility for your assignments and carry your processes forward.You listen and communicate with others in a constructive way and you adapt easily to change.It is important that you work well with complex issues and have the ability to solve complicated problems.
