The purchasing organization at Husqvarna Group is divided into several different features to a global level, ensuring quality, delivery, cost effectiveness and sustainability in the supply chain. One of the key functions in Sourcing is Commodity Management, which focuses on managing all commodities in direct materials and related commercial relationships with suppliers.
Husqvarna Group Battery Competence Center (HGBCC) is a multi-site organization with the mission to develop battery and chargers for the various stakeholders in the Group. We are looking for an experienced and driven Commodity Manager responsible for Li-Ion Battery Packs and Cells, to be placed in Sweden or Germany.

About the job
As Commodity Manager for Li-Ion Battery Packs and Cells, you are part of the HGBCC Leadership Team but also a member of a global commodity team responsible for printed circuit boards, electric motors, batteries, wiring and switches. The main responsibilities are to secure quality, delivery, cost effectiveness and sustainability of your commodity for all products throughout their complete life cycle.
You will create a long-term strategy securing our battery cells and packs to deliver maximum value and develop a plan to achieve it. To manage relationships with suppliers to improve supplier performance, streamline contract, create better cooperation and integration and deliver improved results will be part of your main tasks.
To scout and search for potential new suppliers as wells as potential new technologies within the Commodity and implement cost-saving measures, budgeting (negotiations and other savings included) and annual price negotiation will be part of your main tasks.
You will report to the head of Husqvarna Group Battery Competence Center and lead the Sourcing competence domain. Depending on your location, there is a site leader you work closely with regarding HR related topics. The activities have to be aligned with the functions in the divisions. In Germany there is currently one person focusing on project sourcing that will functionally report to you.
Relevant background
Preferably a Master's degree in electronics and recognized qualification in Sourcing. Minimum Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering in electronics
At least 5 years working experience in purchasing, preferably on positions within commodity management of Li-Ion batteries and Cells. A proven track record from a Global Company.
Fluent English is required (written and spoken), additional languages such as Swedish or German is an advantage.

Your personality in combination with relevant education, work experience and passion for working with sourcing will be important in order to succeed in this role.
