We are looking for a Commodity Manager for our Rail Control Solutions Division in Stockholm

Your Role:
In this role you will work four our RCS Division (Rail Control Solutions) focusing on creating, communicating and deploying aligned sourcing strategies for the commodity that contributes to the competitiveness of the division.
Your Challenges:
This position is a strategic sourcing lead buyer role within the Commodity Team. In this role you will define the sourcing strategy of a commodity and support the business with your strategies in cooperation with engineering and operational supply chain.
You will serve as a leader in managing supplier relationships and create a cost reduction strategy, including regular price negotiations, Design to Cost (DtC) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Principles.
The role includes negotiating commercial purchase terms and conditions, vendor managed inventory and supplier schedule agreements. You will also give support to operational procurement day to day supply chain management of the commodity.
Your Experience and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role you need to fulfil the following criteria's:
- Master degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years purchasing experience, preferably within an industrial environment of electronic or electro mechanical equipment or minimum 2 years in strategic sourcing.
- Experience in leading cross functional teams and managing resources that are not direct reports.
- Practical understanding of Kanban, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, Lean, etc.
- Financial awareness, in particular experience in cost structure analysis, cost control activities, target settings.
As a person you need to be a strong negotiator with strong people skills. You also need to have a good intercultural understanding to help facilitate working with suppliers and internal interfaces in different countries.
