At Purchasing we are supporting this journey by making sure we are continuously working with suppliers that are best in class in their field including cost, quality, delivery and sustainability.
We are now looking for a new member of the Chassis Commodity management team, leading the Commodity Sheet metal group towards great result for Scania.

Main tasks
Commodity purchasing has a broad area of responsibility and deliverables in many different areas. We are responsible for the supplier base and running production and have targets for cost reduction, sustainability and delivery to mention a few. We reach or targets both by tough negotiations with suppliers as well through collaboration with our cross functions to find the best solutions.
We value our very close cooperation with our project and quality colleagues within purchasing as well as with colleagues within TRATON.
Commodity sheet metal, also responsible for Raw Material steel, have a huge possibility to impact the way towards decarbonisation. Many interesting initiatives are currently running in this area.
Your profile
You are probably a target oriented team player that can balance individual target achievement with an holistic approach. You strive to work proactive but are able to stand strong and remain calm also in stressful situations. You are organized, flexible, likes to take initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases and possess proven leadership skills.
Previous experience within automotive purchasing is required. Experience from sales or project management is an advantage. As your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels both internally and externally, it is important you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity and good judgment and work according the Scania leadership principles. You have good knowledge of Swedish and speak and write fluent in English.
