Axis is looking for the right person to fill an open position as Commodity responsible for accessories suppliers in our Sourcing team within our Operations organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Axis provides a wide range of accessories to facilitate the installation and maintenance of network video systems. This includes products such as; protective camera housings, mountings, illuminators, PoE, media converters, audio, I/O and other areas around power and connectivity. This position includes a responsibility to develop Axis´ accessories suppliers. You will collaborate closely with global product managers for accessories as well as the whole accessories commodity team and help to continuously evaluate and measure existing and potential suppliers commercial and quality performance.

More specifically your responsibilities will include:

Develop supplier base in order to secure cost competitiveness and risk management. Continuously develop and execute the commodity strategy for the accessories supplier base in cooperation with the different stakeholders in order to support Axis vision. Be involved in early product development in order to influence supplier choice as well as taking care of commercial discussions with suppliers during development phase. Negotiation and finalizing of supplier contracts. Take lead in specific larger negotiations. Perform and set up business reviews twice a year with selected suppliers together with the commodity team. Responsibility for maintenance of our AVL (Approved Vendors List).
The position requires approximately 20-30 days of travelling a year.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you are an open minded team player with strong analytical skills, a structured way and with a result oriented focus. In order to be successful in this position it’s important that you are prestigeless and willing to share knowledge and information. Knowledge of different cultures and business practice is desirable.

A successful candidate has:

Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar. At least 5 years of sourcing experience within electronics or mechanics field in an international environment. Deep knowledge of commodity management. Proven success from various significant negotiations and from establishing contracts with suppliers. Experience from working in ERP systems. Excellent skills in English, both oral and in writing Hands on and used to do what needs to be done
THE SOURCING TEAM
The sourcing team is responsible for providing optimal supplier base to assure total supply chain cost are minimized, quality standards are maintained and service level to R&D remain high to be able to meet Axis time to market requirements and growth. The team is involved in all stages of a products lifetime - e.g. development, design for manufacturing, industrialization and product data management in PDM and ERP system during development of new products. During serial production the group supports with maintenance and product changes. The main collaboration interfaces are all departments at Operations and R&D.
