Range & Supply External Communication Support Team

Before IKEA products enter the stores there are years of research and tests, often in close and long partnership with suppliers around the world. A dedicated team at IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult is responsible for identifying and developing this communication to support IKEA markets and we are now looking for a senior colleague to join the team.

We are now looking for an experienced Communication Advisor to join our team. You will be part of a newly established team that will focus on strategic and advisory communication support for all IKEA organizations and markets.

Some of the key tasks will include:

- Act as a strategic communication advisor and identify strategic communication opportunities

- Develop and implement external communication strategies with the objective to strengthen the IKEA brand and reputation, in close cooperation with Business Areas and IKEA experts

- Be a communication support and advisor in immediate risk situations related to range and supply chain

- Cooperate with colleagues throughout IKEA organizations and support spokespersons

- Analyze the media impact of the increased external communication of Range & Supply and adapt communication to the modern media landscape

- Develop and work with KPI:s in order to follow up initiatives and analyze results


Is this your next challenge?

We believe you have a degree with an emphasis on communication and several years of working experience with external media relations and communication strategies in both proactive and reactive ways. You have a track record of senior leadership or management experience. You understand the challenges and opportunities that communication- and PR managers have. You are a good judge of effective communication. You are fluent in both spoken and written English combined with a passion for words.

As a person, you have a strong drive, ability to take lead and to remain calm also in situations of high stress. Further, you are analytical, methodical and structured. You understand the need of high quality, speed and alignment in communication and see all the great communication possibilities we have ahead of us when sharing who we are and what we do within range and supply chain.
