Who you are
You are passionate about how communication enables better business results. You forge trustful relationships with people on all levels and you have excellent knowledge and ability to turn complex concepts and processes into simple, comprehensible, and relevant communication for different audiences.
You understand the complexity of a business in a global company like IKEA and the important role communication plays within the business. You understand what it takes from communication to lead a major business transformation effort impacting several dimensions of our business and you appreciate the mix of providing both strategic direction as well as having a hands-on approach when necessary. You communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with an IKEA tone of voice.
In this role you will closely partner with the business to ensure impactful communication, enabling business outcomes and results. From a strong business insight, you create and execute communication strategies & plans, in close alignment with business leaders, and engage various internal and external stakeholders, such as other global functions and country organisations. For this role we believe you have at least 10 years of both external and internal communication experience with solid experience of the retail reality and change management and are excellent in English, both written and oral communication skills. You have a passion for people and are excellent in leading and managing transformational change through communication with the business goals, users/customers and co-workers in focus.
We are a team of 10 Communication Business Partners in the ‘CFO’ (Chief Financial Officer) & Ingka Investments team. We develop communication strategies and tactics within the areas of Real Estate, Procurement, Finance, Risk & Compliance, Investments, Legal & Governance, Business Steering, Global Operations, Global Business Organisation and our Business Operation transformation. We reach results by working closely together with communication colleagues, business leaders, as well as many others in a cross functional approach.
Your responsibilities
1. As the Communication Business Partner for the Global Operations area – you are responsible to drive our movement on operational excellence, support transformations and growth of the IKEA business, through world class communication. In addition, you are a trusted communication advisor to the Leadership Team and coach and support leaders and co-workers with communication.
2. You will be a part of the Global Operations Leadership Team and lead the communication agenda for Global Operations.
3. You will lead effective communication both internally and externally and secure the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders. A big part of your assignment is to lead, develop, implement and support a variety of transformation initiatives with communications.
4. You will drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered.
This role is an open-ended contract and will be located either in Leiden, the Netherlands or Malmö, Sweden.
