We’re strengthening our communication team with a versatile communication leader who can lead and execute communication initiatives, big and small, to keep co-workers and stakeholders inspired and engaged in what we do in IKEA Supply. IKEA Supply is responsible to source, manufacture and distribute IKEA products to the IKEA retailers. Our various business units are leading an exciting development agenda with everything from digitalization and automation of our supply chain to responsible sourcing and our climate agenda (we want to be climate positive by 2030). Our small global communication team is responsible to hold together the strategic communication agenda of IKEA Supply, and coordinate and support initiatives across the business. This means you’ll have plenty of learning opportunities and a good chance to create impact.
A big part of our assignment is to build understanding of IKEA Supply, its role and contribution to building trust in IKEA. We do this by enabling proactive and transparent communication that delivers to our business priorities, that what we communicate is relevant and engaging and is communicated to the right stakeholders at the right time, always with IKEA tone of voice.
Job Description
As Communication leader you lead and create effective communication securing the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders. You drive an open and sharing climate, you lead rooted in the IKEA values and you have a passion for keeping co-workers informed, engaged and empowered. This role will have its primary focus on working with the common communication agenda across IKEA Supply, developing our ways to reach and interact with our many co-workers and stakeholders. You will also be working as a business partner to key stakeholders.
Plan, develop and execute communication activities that strengthen engagement with key topics for IKEA Supply, for ex Supply Business updates, various partner foras, external speaking commitments
Be a strategic and tactical communication partner to your stakeholders to define and enable their communication needs and goals
Contribute to developing our communication channel landscape to support the everchanging needs of the business and target groups
Create clear and actionable communication plans and communication briefs to enable efficient and effective creation, production, and follow-up. Set and agree briefs with stakeholders that clearly indicate the “what”, “why” and “when” in order to deliver business impact. Work with internal and/or external resources to deliver to the defined communication within budgets and timelines
Contribute to the implementation of business strategies, priorities and processes through communication
Be a visual, verbal and written communication expert, coaching and supporting stakeholders and colleagues in creating impactful communication
Contribute and deliver to cross-functional assignments prioritised in the matrix/common Action Plan

In order to succeed, we think you need to bring:
Strong experience in leading communication and/or project & production management
Documented know-how in using graphics and words to create an impactful message
Experience in corporate communication activities planning and execution, as well as content development
A knack for team work and building relationships in a diverse and global workplace
Ability to simplify and organise complex issues
Good knowledge of and interest in digital tools and media
Very strong English skills, both written & spoken
Proficiency in using creative tools such as photoshop, In design, Adobe Cloud or similar is a merit
