Communications Manager
Nordisk Hjalp is a Swedish-registered top tier 90-Konto NGO covering the entirety of Sweden and carrying out a multi-country operation over the last 10+ years with programs focusing o relief, women and child care. Nordisk Hjalp’s Board of Directors has recently approved a strategy shift for the entire organization that entails a new mandate with focus on facilitating the harmonization of Middle East refugees and immigrants into their new environments through key empowerment programs on economic, cultural, social and psychological integration fronts; locally and internationally.
Nordisk Hjalp is seeking to recruit a new Communications Manager who is passionate about the new mission, and can shoulder the responsibilities of executing the new communications strategy successfully. The main characteristics of this strategy are brand repositioning, engagement of institutional funders and campaigning.
Key Responsibilities
● Communication Planning: pulling together the core execution plans that are likely to achieve the comm goals set out in the comm strategic plan, including channel design and implementation, within Sweden and internationally.
● Creative Management: ability to create and manage a creative community successfully with steps that include proper briefing, feedback and approval of key outcomes.
● Interface with Fundraising & Major Donors: active participation in building the fundraising strategy and supporting it with necessary communication activities (PR,events, campaigning, digital content on social media, comm materials).
● Support of Programs Activities and Events: including support to all activities on the strategic plan for the organization and all the programs.
● Support of Organizational Development Plan: Nordisk Hjalp is undergoing a well-articulated plan to further establish its institutional infrastructure. Support to this plan is required whenever applicable.
● Support of Existing Program (core): a key program with 1000+ beneficiaries is sustained by NH, and it’s required for this role to support the communication with existing donors until it’s phased out according to a set plan.

Key Experiences
● 3+ years of experience in an international NGO
● In a communications function
● Or 5+ years of experience in a local (Swedish) NGO
● With demonstrated capability to perform the core responsibilities within this job profile
Expected Output within the next 2 years
● Growth of NH Brand Equity and Repositioning it to a top development NGO
● Engagement of 25 New Institutional Funders through dedicated comm program
● Awareness & Mobilization campaigns (at least 6) concerning refugee & immigrants (as mutually agreed with programs and fundraising units)
