Group Communication supports Sandvik with world-class communication, and has global responsibility for internal and external communication at Sandvik. We are now looking for a Communication Manager to work with the Group level communication for Sandvik IT. The location for this position is either Sandviken or Stockholm, with the obligation to be present in Sandviken on a weekly basis.

Key performance areas
As Communication Manager, your main areas of responsibility will be to provide communication support to the IT function. You are responsible for strategic and operational communication planning, as well as for implementing communication plans, leading and coordinating activities, handling crisis communication and producing communication material. In your daily work you act as a speaking partner and advisor on communication issues, and by providing high quality support, built on good understanding of Sandvik's objectives and vision, you contribute to efficiency and synergies in the communication for IT. This role also includes responsibility for incident and crisis communication related to our IT operations and experience from this will be seen as an advantage.

You report to the VP of Internal Communication. However, close collaboration will be required with the CIO and the IT management, as you are a key asset to the Senior Management team.

The role includes traveling.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Communication, Journalism or Marketing, and with at least ten years' varied experience within communication or a similar area. You have worked with internal communication and communication planning, and you are well acquainted with the challenges of working in a large global organization. You are skilled in project management, and previous experience from the field of IT is advantageous. To be successful in this role, you must know how to set clear targets for communication and have good knowledge and understanding of different communication channels and tools. Naturally, you have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
