We are looking for a Communication Manager in a temporary position for approximately one year as a colleague is going on parental leave.

Within Corporate Communication, the Content & Activation team works with planning, producing and managing communication initiatives towards all Volvo Group’s corporate stakeholders, utilizing dialogue in a multitude of channels. Our team members have different professional and educational backgrounds but share the same passion to create communication that sparks a dialogue and moves the needle.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Together with your team colleagues and in close collaboration with senior business leaders, public affairs experts, investor relations representatives and more, you will lead and contribute to a wide range of projects and initiatives within the corporate communication space. The role requires good judgement and integrity, solid communication knowledge and skills, balancing a holistic mindset with hands-on tasks— and last but not least a digital savvy profile.
You will report to the Director Strategic Communication.
WHO WE THINK YOU ARE
You have a solid foundation in communication, a proven track-record of project management and excellent writing skills. You have a strong personal drive and deliver results while being able to balance stakeholder interests.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Produce and coordinate communication projects, activities, and content in collaboration with the Content and activation team, with other Volvo Group colleagues and with external partners. Examples could include:
Leading the communication workstream in confidential projects, including announcement of strategic initiatives. This involves planning communication activities, shaping messages, writing QA documents, cooperating with internal and external stakeholders, et cetera.
Working with crisis management from a communication perspective, preparing plans and content for different scenarios.
Leading or contributing to internal or external communication events.
Develop, evaluate and continuously improve work processes and collaboration within the area of responsibilities
Experience and Education
Experience managing communication projects with external and internal stakeholders, preferably in a multi-market/language set up
Academic degree in communication, journalism, marketing, or similar
+3 years relevant experience
Key competencies
Interest in and understanding of business issues and ability to translate them into communication objectives and actions
Broad understanding of the media and communication landscape
The ability to understand and balance stakeholder requirements and needs
Solid track record of delivering for various communication carriers and channels; texts, presentations, imagery, film, social media etc.
Full professional proficiency in English
