Today we have production in our assembly and component plants all over the world, we work with lean, sustainable and flexible production technologies – with a firm focus on people and continuous development. We build production excellence on people’s competence and engagement. Volvo Car Torslanda is a complete car factory with a Body shop, Paint shop and Final Assembly shop. During 2021 we produced 258 023 cars and we are 6.500 employees.

What you will do
As Communication Manager Volvo Cars Torslanda Plant you will create a multi-platform communication strategy and tactics for the plant, supporting the ambition to deliver sustainable production excellence. Our employees are the beating heart of our company. They turn strategy into results and communication is a key tool for them to build the relevant knowledge and strong engagement that results in the right and informed actions as well as pride and advocacy. Your responsibility is to create communication that can reinforce this and add value. You will also be the communications advisor to the Torslanda plant manager and management team. You will run communications projects from start to finish, use creative ideas to turn complex information into clear and engaging content for our leaders and our employees. 

You will work with channel development, news and communication around our transformation and build stories that support that journey. 

You will support leaders with communication as well as training and tools for them to implement on their own. You will lead activities such as media visits, webcasts, intranet communication, newsletters, development of new digital communication applications etc. 

Further, you will collaborate continuously with the wider communications team at Volvo Cars, as well as your plant communication peers around the globe. 

A good skill set:
•    Solid experience from Communications in a global context with a diverse audience
•    In particular, strong skills within internal communication strategy and implementation
•    Knowledge of change management and how communication can be a tool to achieve business transformation and performance
•    Project leading skills 
•    Experience from working with top executives as well as production staff
•    Excellent English and Swedish writing skills                                                                                                           
•    Good understanding of digital channels and social media
