About the job
In this temporary (18 months) full-time role, your focus will be on facilitating the execution of our business strategies, priorities, and processes through communication. You will provide communication expertise, particularly in areas like change communication, to both managers and co-workers, offering continuous support in the development of their communication skills. Your mission also involves collaborating with People & Culture co-workers to create an engaging, inspiring, and inclusive work environment while enabling change through well-planned communication strategies.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication flows aligned with the IKEA network, reaching specific target groups within and outside the unit. This includes the conscientious sharing of information to ensure that it reaches the right people at the right time.
Your responsibilities extend to:
Crafting straightforward, compelling communication content.
Leading and coordinating various communication projects across different business areas, all while adhering to common agendas and consistent work methods.
Overseeing the internal communication landscape, ensuring the establishment of shared guidelines and an overarching core business approach.
Ensure that managers and co-workers lead with communication and have access to relevant and updated information, tools, and templates.
Acting as the visual, verbal, and written communication expert in the unit, and create communication that reflects this.

These roles will be part of the communication team that supports operations across Inter IKEA, including business transformation and cross-functional ways of working.
About you
You are passionate about using communication as a business enabler and tactical tool, leading business and people to drive engagement, while simplifying complex ideas into effective plans. You are dedicated to mentoring and coaching others, fostering relationships, and collaborating within the IKEA network. Your passion extends to home life and furnishing, and you are motivated to share and live IKEA's culture and values.
To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable:
Experience and knowledge of working with communication planning and execution, and an understanding of how communication supports and increases the impact of a business agenda.
Ability to work strategically, tactically, and operationally, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and actively engage in creating exceptional communication.
Strong ability to lead yourself and others with proven success.
Experience with digital transformations and working in business-to-business environments
Good understanding of how to work with stakeholder mapping and segmentation, in addition to creating target group-specific communication.
Great working knowledge of the IKEA identity, tone of voice, core values, and vision to secure the right representation.
Knowledge of the IKEA coaching methodology (tools and techniques).
Knowledge and understanding of how to facilitate and deliver a good presentation.
Fluent in written and spoken English.

Additional Information
This is a temporary (18 months) role to support during a colleague's parental leave. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and based in Malmö, Sweden or Delft, the Netherlands. The role sits in the Enabling Functions, Communication area and reports to the Communication Manager for Operations Management.
