Communication and digital technologies are key elements, among several, for a successful realisation of the ongoing transformation. Scania’s communications department operates globally with several key stakeholders. We are now recruiting a talented and passionate Communication Project Manager to work with both marketing and editorial communication with an online-first approach.
The role
The Communication Project Manager will be leading global marketing and editorial communication assignments. This includes setting communication strategies, developing creative ideas in close cooperation with an advertising agency, and creating final communication campaigns and assets together with a production manager in the team. The role includes Scania stakeholder presentations and negotiations at management level and assignments can be of both small, medium, and large sizes. They often include responsibility for leading a cross-functional project group of assignors, corporate communicators, social media managers, and online strategists towards common set goals and deadlines. All in all the Communication Project Manager is responsible for securing high-quality communication deliveries that strengthen both the Scania brand and business.
Core responsibilities include:
• Based on a business challenge propose, iterate and set a communication assignment strategy and form a project group to jointly execute the strategy
• Develop strong and creative communication material in cooperation with external advertising agencies
• Work closely with for example production manager, social media manager, online strategists, Editor-In-Chief as well as the analytics team for correct measurement
• Brief and work closely with external advertising agencies
• Be the strategic co-ordinator throughout the project to secure deliveries, follow running costs and report project status to stakeholders.
• Follow-up project outcome, evaluate and improve project processes
• At times be involved in and running production of assets, securing time plans, and correct delivery to Scania´s digital assets management system
Your profile
You have extensive work experience from:
• working with marketing and editorial communication at a strategic and operational level preferably from
• larger corporations, B2B or B2C
• handling global assignments with complex business challenges, changing prerequisites, and tight deadlines
• working with external suppliers
• setting and following up budget
• complex organisational structures and simultaneously coordinating different projects
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English / Swedish
Education
You have an academic degree or similar, in media or marketing communication.
