Communication Specialist, Category Area Electronics and Specific HFBs

About the job
As a Communication Specialist you lead, develop and support internal communication projects, develop and prepare content for a variety of communication materials, facilitate trainings on communication, coach and support leaders and co-workers in communication within IKEA and towards suppliers. You also ensure the administration of our communication tools (e.g. intranet, workspace) and the implementation of new communication solutions within organization.

About the assignment
• You interpret complex business directions and decisions and translate them into easy-to-understand messages.
• You coordinate, design and produce content for internal communication channels.
• You support the development of togetherness between business teams across the world.
• You collect and support sharing of stories about who we are and how we work with suppliers.
• You support our leaders with tactical and operational communication and you work to develop their communication skills
• You participate in Purchasing Communication Matrix and partner with relevant communication responsibles throughout IKEA.

This is a permanent position based in Älmhult. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.


About you
You are a creative and motivated Communication Specialist with passion for designing and producing internal communication materials such as web content, news, videos and presentation materials. You have good business understanding and strong and broad communication skills.
To succeed in this role you need to be a strong writer and have a passion for designing and producing communication materials. You need to be able to analyze complex business challenges and scenarios and develop communication plans and solutions to meet business and receiver needs. We also believe that you have a University degree in media, communications or similar and several years of experience in working with communication in a business environment as a communication specialist.

As a person you have a strong drive and a creative and open mindset. You are structured, thorough and capable to work in a complex organization – always with simplicity in mind. You take initiatives and you get things done and you have strong drive and commitment.

The Category Areas are developing IKEAs global purchasing across the world. Category Area Electronics is responsible for Appliances, Luminaries and Light engines & Power solutions. Category Area Specific HFB is responsible for Ceramics, Glass, Candles, Frames, Green Plants, Toys and Custom Made Worktops. All together the two category areas has 245 co-workers placed all over the world, developing more than 200 suppliers.
