The Geely Business Center is a competence center of the Geely Sweden Holdings group- and provides specialist competences and shared services for the companies in the holding group.

Job description:

We are looking for a Communication Specialist & China Liaison to join the communications department in forming a corporate communications function that is capable of supporting and working with several of the companies in the holding group in Sweden and Europe.

Responsibilities include working with and supporting the Geely Sweden Holdings organisations, as well as being part of the Zheijang Geely Holding global PR team.

You will be employed at the Geely Business Center but functionally report to the Head of PR & Communications for Geely Sweden Holdings and belong to the global holding PR team.

The PR and Communications department is under formation and the mission is to build a fully functional PR and Communications department that can handle both strategic communication as well as create the infrastructure needed to execute professional level PR and comms in a swift and efficient manner.

You will be part of a team with highly qualified experts in various fields employed by Geely Business Center (GBC) which is our competence center located in a brand-new office at Lindholmen, Gothenburg, Sweden.

The organisation is in a startup phase and the work is varied and will continue to develop as the organisation grows. The main areas of responsibility will from the start consist of the following:

Developing infrastructure for the PR, branding and communications organisation within Geely Sweden Holdings, with focus on DAM and Media relations tools. Work on a consultant type basis towards the internal customer brands, as this is not a staff function but a service provider function.

- PR & Communications support to the Geely Sweden units as well as supporting Geely Holding global HQ with PR and comms related tasks.
- Basic content creation, photography, videos and copywriting as well as working with standard MS office and Adobe tools.
- Driving the corporate visual identity in the affiliated business units.
- Develop our Social Channels in cooperation with the rest of the team
- Project management of bought agency services. (Website development, printed matters, ads etc)
- Liaising with Geely Holding global PR team in China


What you will bring

- 6 years of work experience in PR and corporate communications.
- A keen eye for producing content in form of graphics, videos and other material.
- Social skills, building bridges instead of burning them.
- A drive in finding synergies and optimization opportunities for GBC. You are not afraid of difficult tasks or new areas.
- Experience of working with Chinese companies and culture is a requirement. Cultural awareness is key to succeeding in our global organization. Experience from both large multinational companies and smaller agile organisations is a bonus as we have a small organization with a can-do-it attitude, but the structure and processes of a larger organization.
- Proficient in English with copywriting skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin
