Description
As Communications Manager for Development & Service Operations Packaging Material you will be responsible for all employee and organisational communication activities for this organisation. Your first task is to develop the communications plan for DSO Packaging Material. You will then be responsible for managing the channels and tools in Packaging Material to provide consistently high quality deliverables. In this position, you will add value to the business through communications, contributing strategic advice and driving the operational side of the communications plan. You will also work closely with your colleagues in Communications to build cross-functional communications. In particular, it will be important to strengthen the existing synergies and align communications between different organisations.
You should expect to travel approximately 30 days per year.
This role reports to the Vice President Communications for Supply Chain Operations and Development & Service Operations, and is based in Lund, Sweden.
Main responsibilities
.Develop communication plans and drive their execution for DSO PM
- Provide strategic input to the DSO PM Management teams and translate the meeting's outcomes into communications activities
- Support employee engagement through targeted communications activities & inform/engage employees in DSO PM Initiatives
- Plan and manage key communication outputs such as quarterly employee meetings, and other communications vehicles such as: news updates on the Intranet and announcements
- Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders and provide support through communication programmes
Qualifications
The successful candidate is an active listener, a clear communicator and a skilled negotiator. An analytical mind and sharp business understanding to enable a quick grasp of the essence of a business issue and its implications for communication is needed. Cultural sensitivity in combination with a good portion of empathy and informal authority makes it easy for the successful candidate to get buy-in and sell a message. He/she can establish rapport with individuals at all levels in the organisation.
The sought after candidate has a University degree in the field of communications and possesses superior skills in the core communications competencies. Approx. 6 years of proven experience in communications work in an international organisation, including strategic and operational communications is required. You possess a positive, dynamic approach and the ability to prioritise and execute multiple projects, some of which may require detailed actions. Understanding of the manufacturing environment is an advantage. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
