The High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) business develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit huge amounts of electricity over long distances and connecting power systems. We are offering a unique opportunity for a driven Communication Specialist to join our global communications team in the HVDC headquarters, in Ludvika, Sweden. In the Communications team you will have the opportunity to have a valuable impact across our organization, working with the best people in the power industry as they develop world-changing transmission systems.
Your responsibilities
Helping our colleagues to feel informed and engaged, to make our people feel proud to work for our company.
Managing communications projects and campaigns, both large and small.
Writing articles and announcements, videos, presentations, webcasts, webinars, events, internal social media and more.
A key part of connecting with our colleagues is via external communications channels, this may include social media.
You would be a part of developing our internal communications strategy and execution.
It will be important to understand Hitachi Energy’s business values and mission and bringing them into your projects.
Your background
You need be able to take complex and sometimes confusing topics and turn them into concise and meaningful information for our global community of coworkers.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required. The ability to communicate in “plain English” will be key to your success.
An interest and skill in a range of multimedia tools and techniques will be important to effective communication.
You are an energetic and friendly person, comfortable interacting with a wide range of people both face-to-face and remotely.
Being able to understand people is important – you may have education or experience in communications, human resources, journalism, psychology, social services, teaching or something completely different.
Fluency in Swedish would be an advantage.
