The role
Now you have the opportunity to be in a strategic and unique position within Scania´s central Communications function.
In this position, you will be leading and steering the work with the formulation and implementation of the global Communications strategy, the Communications activity plan, and the related governance forums (internally and externally). Connected to the strategy work you will also be in charge of keeping together the global strategic competence plan.
You will be working closely with stakeholders from various functions at Communications, the Scania´s strategy department, regional management at Commercial Operations, People and Culture as well as with external stakeholders for communicative trends input.
The strategies and plans you build will ensure the global organisation acts in an aligned and integrated way, setting the foundations for world-class communication.
What you will do
In accordance with Scania´s overall strategy, you will manage the common and cross-functional Communications strategy and plan:
• Lead and steer the work with the Communications Strategy, Communications activity plan, and Communications governance.
• Develop, anchor, and support the implementation of the Communications strategy and Communication activity plan.
• Continuous follow-up of the Communication activity plan and its objectives with key stakeholders (Communications Management team, regions and markets, People and Culture among others).
• Develop and implement adequate governance connected to responsibility areas; i.e. initiate development workshops, facilitate resource planning forums and run information meetings.
• Lead and steer the strategic competence plan to ensure that the communications community develops and maintains its competencies by providing relevant solutions targeting communications professionals´ specific needs and gaps.
You will lead and host cross-functional Communication forums that involve the entire global Communications community and regional marketing and communication managers among other.
In your role, you will also be a key person in our Global Communications Conferences and in the work connected to Scania´s Top Management Meetings.
You will report to the Head of Communications Development (CD) and will be part of the Communications Development Management team.
In summary, this role’s key task is to assure that Scania’s communicative activities are strategically motivating and aligned with the corporate strategy and budget work: to do the right communication in the right way!
Your profile - what we are looking for
You are responsible, structured, a self-driven person and enjoy creating and maintaining professional networks.
You have experience from work with marketing and business including complex stakeholder management (internal/external).
You are a highly valued team player and an excellent communicator.
You are a natural leader and can combine social skills with integrity. You enjoy both to challenge and being challenged.
You are able to see the bigger picture with a strategic mindset, and you have the ability to absorb large sets of information, interpret, prioritize and present it adequately.
Competence / Experience
You have a Master´s degree or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications. Preferably from both a local and central organisation.
You have a good and wide knowledge of the complete marketing & communication spectra, ranging from product marketing and social media campaigning all the way to public relations and internal communication.
You have an understanding of the (Scania) business with a particular interest in strategy and planning.
You have worked in a medium to large B2B company with both internal and external stakeholders such as business areas, distributors, dealerships, etc. Having experience of informing, aligning, and inspiring in that type of multi-level environment.
