As a Community Developer at Paradox Interactive, your responsibility is to conceive, develop, plan, and execute the community-facing side of the marketing plan for one of the brands and/or products published by Paradox Interactive. This implies identifying, cultivating, and activating relevant communities; as well as growing the size of our owned audience. You are relying on community initiatives, activations, activities, events, communications, and innovative social media campaigns, that you will define to be relevant and efficient for your assigned brand.


Your work starts early in the development and marketing process, identifying potential audiences and existing communities, crafting an adequate community strategy & plan to prepare for announcement, release, and the product live phase. You are then responsible for the design and execution of community related campaigns, activities and the management of social media channels during the whole lifecycle of the product. You measure the success and impact of your actions, adapting your plans while ensuring alignment with the rest of the marketing plan, and guaranteeing that community efforts contribute to the marketing campaign objectives and global marketing KPI.


You have global ownership and responsibility of the community-side of the marketing campaign for your product(s), and you take the lead for the execution of all relevant community activities (live streams, events, social media campaigns), working with relevant internal and external partners. You are also responsible for all owned media channels associated with the brand (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Paradox Forum, Discord, or others).


You report to the Head of Community, or a Senior Community Developer, with the Product Marketing Manager responsible for budgeting and allocating your time between projects. In day-to-day-operations, you work closely with the whole product & marketing team.


You also coordinate with freelance Community Ambassador(s) working on your assigned brands to ensure the moderation and management of the communication and social media channels, as well as the execution of the marketing team content roll-out plan.


Key responsibilities
Conceive, plan, budget, and execute an efficient community plan, involving innovative and relevant initiatives and activities, in order to grow and cultivate healthy and inclusive communities for your assigned product.
Assume full ownership and responsibility of the community-facing side of the marketing campaign for your product.
Ensure regular reporting toward your management, team and partners on social media performance, community campaign results, and community sentiment.
Coordinate all communications through your assigned brands owned channels (Facebook, Twitter, Forums, etc), acting as the "voice of the brand".
Copywriting for campaign websites, patch notes and other brand communications.
Manage and coordinate with freelance Community Ambassador(s).



Required qualifications
1-3 years of experience in community management, social media, and/or digital marketing in the video game industry.
Both excellent proactive and reactive communication skills.
Solid and reliable project management capabilities.
A deep understanding of and interest in video game culture and communities, as well as a specific interest for games developed and published by Paradox Interactive.
A strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
Basic knowledge of picture and video editing tools is preferable, but not necessary.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
